Overview

The Cape Vidal camping site is set in dune forest within iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, 37km north of St Lucia. It is one of the most popular camping sites in South Africa thanks to its beach access, warm ocean water and excellent fishing.

Camping Details

Spacious sites with electricity, clean ablutions and shaded dune forest surroundings. Only 50 sites are available, so early booking is recommended.

Secure all food properly as monkeys and mongoose are present inside the campsite.

Getting There

• Drive north from St Lucia.
• Enter at the St Lucia Crocodile Centre gate.
• Travel 37km north to Cape Vidal.
• Camping site is on the left after the cattle grid.
